Construction of Underpass at Kuvempu Circle and BEL Circle on Outer Ring Road in Bangalore.

GENERAL CONSTRUCTION

The Underpass at Kuvempu Circle and BEL Circle on ORR was constructed by Bangalore Development Authority with the aim of reducing traffic congestion on the NH 7 on the eastern side and NH 4 in the western side.

Outcomes and achievements:

Kuvempu Circle and BEL Circle were the most important and busiest junctions on the Outer Ring Road in northern part of Bangalore City. The underpass reduced the traffic congestion on these stretches.
Most of the heavy Commercial Traffic moving via Bangalore to other part of National Highways is being diverted through this Ring Road. These Junctions are located in well-developed Residential and Industrial Area.
Serves to reach Bangalore International Airport and Lottegollahalli Railway station without traffic congestion.

PJB ROLES

We have executed the work as prime contractor and as per client requirement. In this project we have executed huge quantities of Earthwork, formation of roads, PCC, RCC, Water supply pipelines, Rigid Pavement etc.

Key Items Delivered:

• The total width of the road work including service road is 44 m, with
Carriageway width 2 x 11 m and 6 no. of lanes.
• Length of RCC Box covered portion 1-50 m and 1-40 m.
• The total length of flexible pavement and rigid pavement constructed excluding the service roads was around 1.1 kms.
