Flyover on ORR connecting Nagawara and Veerannapalya flyovers and associated works for Manyata Tech Park, Bengaluru

GENERAL CONSTRUCTION

Design and Construction of Flyover on ORR connecting Nagawara and Veerannapalya flyovers with dedicated Entry and Exit ramps and associated works for Manyata Tech Park, Bengaluru.

The flyover is mainly constructed to reduce traffic congestion alleviation at Manyata Tech Park Entrance and Exit.

Outcomes and achievements:

1. The flyover has reduced the traffic congestion around the Embassy Manyata Business Park that straddles Hebbal, Nagavara and Thanisandra areas by 70%.

2. The flyover starts at Veerannapalya and allows the traffic to flow into Hebbal. Besides easing traffic congestion towards Hebbal and KR Puram, the flyover also makes commuting towards the Kempegowda International Airport smoother.

3. Sprawled over 121 acres, Embassy Manyata Business Park accommodates one lakh employees of various companies. While some of them live nearby, most travel from various parts of the city. The flyover has cut down the travel time for two lakhs people.

PJB ROLES

PJB Role:
We have executed the work as prime contractor and as per client requirement on an EPC mode. In this project we have executed Design and construction of flyover, ducts, obligatory span, reinforced earth walls, retaining walls, drains, crash barrier, wearing coat, soil stabilization etc.,
Key Items Delivered:
• The flyover splits into three roads:-
Road 1: This road connects Nagawara flyover to veerannapalya flyover.
Road 2: This road leads entry to Manyata Tech Park.
Road 3: This road leads exit from Manyata Tech Park.
• The length of flyover is 1603 m including approaches and length of viaduct is 1189 m.
• The flyover has 55 nos of 20 m span each executed with PSC I girder sections with cast in situ deck slab and Structural steel with composite girder of 4 spans of 22.30 mtrs each with Steel I Girder.
• The flyover connects three different
• The embankment quantity was around 42,000 cum and the total length of flexible pavement is 1273 mtrs and rigid pavement is 330 mtrs.
• Constructed 1 no of Underpass with RCC box portion of 27mts with 40 mtrs ramps on either side.
• Constructed 8 No’s Portal Beams.
