1. Construction of Farm Road in Vengoor, Ernakulam

In collaboration with the Gram Panchayath and support from local people, PJB Engineers took up the construction of a farm road in Kanichattupaddam in Vengoor, a village in the Ernakulam District in Kerala. The road is 4.5m wide and stretches over a span of 300 m along the paddy field, with dry rubble masonry and PCC for sidewall, and RCC culverts at water channel crossings. The project was completed in 1 month time and was fully funded by PJB’s giving back to community scheme.

2. Construction of Road in Anneshwara Village (Bangalore Rural)

PJB was instrumental in funding and executing a 1.2 km long road in Anneshwara Gram Panchayath in Devanahalli with the guidance and support from Panchayath officials and local community in the year 2021. Of this, 600 m was CC road and remaining unpaved road. This road serves the local dwellers in accessing the main road without much hassle.

3. COV-AID at Kempegowda International Airport (Bangalore)

PJB was a part of the COV-AID @ BLR initiative launched by Kempegowda International Airport Foundation (KIAF) in May 2021 which had a group of funders including Fairfax Financial Holdings, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) and Quess Corp Limited. The project comprised of setting up a temporary 150 bed dedicated Oxygen facility as part of the Covid-19 combat strategy with 10 LPM concentrators – 95, 5 LPM concentrators – 55, Pharmacy, Pathology Unit, Nurses’ Station, restrooms, dining area, 24×7 ambulance facility etc. PJB – apart from financial support – also played a key role in setting up the facility utilising our pre- stationed project team at airport for our BIAL projects.

4. Construction of two houses in Nedumbassery Village, Ernakulam

In the month of August 2018, due to unusually high rainfall in the South Indian state of Kerala, severe floods occurred. PJB in association with Nedumbassery Gram Panchayath built two houses (near Cochin International Airport) for families who lost their home during this time. The two houses were built at a cost of around 38 lakhs funded entirely by PJB and were handed over to the beneficiaries in 2020.

5. Christian Medical College, Vellore

PJB partnered with Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore in their vaccination drive launched in August 2021 during the second wave of Covid-19. As part of the initiative, we set up vaccination vans to reach out to more people in the villages and provide the vaccination. With this, the CMC community team was able to administer vaccination to more than 150 people in villages on a daily basis, aligning with our motto of ensuring “equal rights to quality healthcare”.
